My PCP referred me to look into a documented congenital heart defect that was causing angina. He is insulting and dismissive about my concerns. Like I was wasting his time. He no longer has to worry about me wasting his time. I would think twice before visiting him. I expected more from the Director of Cardiology at VCU Health. I have no idea how he got this position.
All of these reviews are wrong. He is a genuinely nice guy who cared about my issues. Would reccomend

I have never had a worse experience with a Doctor or nurse or anyone working in the medical field. Came in on a recommendation by my primary care physician and Dr. Gertz would not run any test. Gave me a guilt trip for even seeing him and told me I'm 40 years old I'm fine. He even changed my blood pressure reading to much lower on the chart, which I didn't notice until I got home and looked at the MyChart app. I believe that is illegal.
