I have been seeing Dr. Germano for several years and he is an excellent and competent psychiatrist. I completely disagree with the two nasty and negative reviews of Dr.Alan Germano.

uhhhhh, odd, histrionic, antiquated, bizarre, creepy uncle, absent-minded, germaphobe, melodramatic, careless, awkward, bungling, confused, regimented, drippy, peculiar, scattered, theatrical, Ned Flanders????? This guy needs to retire. It's important to see in yourself that you've reached an age where you aren't capable of helping people because your own behavior is so odd that will cause stress for the patient.

For sixteen years I have recommended Care Recipients to Dr. Germano. Some had dementia and others were coping with other life situations. On some occasions the Care Recipient has allowed me as a Caregiver to sit in on their session with Dr. Germano. I have heard Dr. Germano say things like, "__________ behavior comes from ____________part of the brain and ___________medication effects __________part of the brain in _______way. I went to him about four years ago. He treated me as if I was one of his elderly patients and I was 38. He blamed all my problems on my mother. Which was not true. Im bipolar and was manic at time. I asked for Olanzapine to bring me down because that had worked in the past. He refused. Olanzapine is not a controlled substance so I have no idea why he refused to help me. Do not go here.
