I attempted to give Gerber my business, but won't attempt to do so again. After having been a multiple-repeat business of their predecessor, Gilman Auto Body, I expected the same customer-friendly environment. Stopping by for an estimate, I was told that the policy had changed and that estimates required an advance appointment. I mentioned that I had driven 20 minutes, not expecting a change in practice, and asked whether someone could come out of the shop and offer an estimate. The response-I'd have to wait.
