I normally do not write reviews as there are way to many people with negative comments and lack of manners when it comes to comments and reviews. That being said, I felt it was necessary to write this review regarding my treatment with Dr. Murtagh, his staff, and the crew at the Bone & Joint Clinic in Baton Rouge. I had to have my shoulder rebuilt and I am covered under the VA Choice program. Most doctors will not even provide service under this program due to the red tape, slow and low pay, and
Dr. Mazoch was the first doctor at the Bone and Joint Clinic to give me some relief from my pain. He's a hands on doctor who actually touches you and doesn't just rely on reading information on a computer screen. He explained a lot to me so that I understood what was going on. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Murtagh has operated on each of my shoulders - one 3 years ago and one 6 months ago. Both surgeries went well and I have regained total movement in both arms. I highly recommend Dr. Murtagh and his staff: you will get a friendly, knowledgable and skilled doctor and a first-rate support staff. I have full confidence in Dr. Murtagh in the event I ever need another orthopedic procedure again. The Bone & Joint Clinic also has a great physical therapy group too, which I recommend as well.

I am back to my job in construction since he fixed my shoulder. Couldn't be happier. I did get lost in the office a couple times though. They could work on the signs for leaving.

Dr Murtagh takes the time to help you understand and get comfortable with your upcoming procedure. He has replaced 1 of my knees and 1 for my brother. Both of us are very pleased and I highly recommend Dr Murtagh as your Orthopedic Surgeron.
