Hit and miss. Disgusting behaviour from ED short wait nursing staff. I was discharged on a Sunday but because there was no transport for me to get home they kept me in the short stay room next to the ED. My wife was sent to a villa. During the night I called the nurse because I had a bad headache and ear ache. She refused to help me because I had been discharged. In the morning I needed to use the bathroom. Here’s a warmer, more personal version: --- I recently travelled from Perth to visit a close friend in the high intensity ward at Geraldton Hospital, and I just wanted to say thank you. It’s a tough place to be as patients are in pain, scared, and not always themselves, however the kindness and patience shown by the staff really stood out to me. I was in overnight in Day Surgery a couple of weeks ago and I can't praise the staff enough. Each and everyone of them was fantastic, they we incredibly friendly, they all made me feel cared for, comfortable and nothing was any trouble even with their busy day. The food and service was also great. Thanks Linda, Lara and all the staff. Priscilla (Pip)
