He saved my eyesight, and preventing me from going blind by doing emergency procedures for Narrow-angle Glaucoma in both eyes. He also took care of my Cataracts. I am 75 years old and my eyesight is the same as when I was 17 years old without glasses. His Office is extremely clean and the staff are all professionals.This is the only review I have written in my life because he deserves the highest praise.
I can not say enough good things about Dr. Shepps and his team. I was referred to Dr. Shepps by my friend who, (and her family) have been patients of Dr. Shepps for about 30 years! Dr. Shepps may be an excellent doctor, but his office personnel must treat his clients better. Nasty, rushed, and couldn't care less.
Dr. Shepps takes time to listen to his patients concerns. Makes sure to give you all the tests necessary for your eye problems. Takes time to explain in detail what is the best solution. Had eye surgery by him 4 years ago, everything went smoothly. He even created something to help calm my anxiety while in surgery. His staff is very helpful and friendly.
I would recommend Dr. Shepps to anyone who is looking for one of New York’s BEST Ophthalmologists. He’s friendly, takes time to explain what’s really going on with your eyes and makes you feel comfortable. He’s thorough in taking time to do things with great care and completeness. Good surgeon.Vision excellent. Not so good bedside manner. Impatient and uncommunicative.
Provided comprehensive information and guidance prior to my cataract surgery on options for lenses. His advice was right on - decided on one for far vision and one for near. No complications post surgery and a year post surgery, I continue to be very pleased with him and his staff.
Dr. Shepps is attentive, professional, upbeat and a brilliant surgeon. He made my cataract surgery an experience that changed my life for the better and I still can't believe how clear my vision is! My sight is 20/20 In my right eye & 20/30 In my left eye..intentionally adjusted for reading without glasses! Before it was impossible to function without glasses.
