If I could give less than one star, I would. Sheela is one of the worst “professionals” I have ever been to. She wasted no time in insulting my body as soon as I had taken off clothing in order to feed my baby while she observed. At the time I was in need of an unbiased and experienced lactation consultant but what I got was a woman who said things like “nipple shields are the devil” and “your breasts look flaccid there isn’t any milk in them” oh and my favorite “go get yourself a donut” when she saw me crying and shaking as... read more
I had an excellent successful experience with Dr. Geraghty's lactation consulting. She did weighted feeds and gave actionable advice that we followed exactly (triple feed for a week, then exclusively breastfeed after she confirmed baby gained weight and latched better). She helped us gain confidence, recommended helpful gear (the MyBrestFriend pillow), and started us on the challenging and rewarding breastfeeding path. Six months in, breastfeeding is still going great!

Dr. Geraghty is a Godsend and I will be forever grateful that my pediatrician referred me to her. I came to her with my son, a premie, having lost so much weight since birth and was desperate to nurse him. I began pumping and feeding my son my breast milk by bottle, and attempting to put him to the breast until he was ready. We have both come so far, as he is latching more and more and I look forward to continuing on this journey with him with the help of Dr Geraghty.
