Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I believe this is now the oldest visitor center in the US.
NOT OPEN AT NOON ON SUNDAY!! They could at least leave the restrooms open! A 1960 building in good shape, picknik area... a time capsule from way back...
Adorable classic roadside Welcome Center. Offered soda and coffee, snacks, memorabilia and a plenty of pamphlets for GA attractions. Lavatories were clean and stocked.
Fantastic! I was last here in 1963, and, thankfully, it has not changed hardly at all. Hospitality provided by the stall was truly Southern and gracious. We bought a lot of the food products produced in Georgia and can't wait to get home to enjoy them. I was offered to sample complimentary Coca Cola beverages (world HQ in GA) and chose Cherry Coke, a seasonal item on store shelves but offered year round from the visitor center's fountain.
