i had a receding gumline and after he performed it, I could still see receding gums....he never explained about how they may not be covered with new gum tissue and after the surgery I did notice that it was still receding...he apparently did not explain this to me and when I went back his bad and negative attitude was apparent when I went to ask questions..:he is a doctor who should explain in detail what was going to be done with this surgery....he gets a zero per cent for his attitude! Dr Scher and the team at Georgia Periodontics are amazing. I cracked a tooth and needed an implant. Nobody wants an implant, but if needed trust Dr Scher. It is a process, but the team guided me through it with grace. Absolutely no infections or issues. My gum around the implant healed perfectly. TRUST in SCHER!
The experience was poor from the front desk and back to Dr Scher. He as rude and, at first spoke to my 96 year old mother as if she was a dentist and then when we asked him to speak in terms that she could understand, he spoke to us as if we were mentally challenged. He wanted to do a bone graph and an implant even though there was not going to be a tooth next to it and never explained that a bridge cannot be built onto a tooth implant. I would not recommend him or his staff.
For some background, as a child, I had a lot of teeth pulled as prep for braces that left me with a good bit of dentistry PTSD. I made it 50+ years with no cavities or major dental issues, so imagine my shock when I learned I needed to have a molar extracted. My panic button went into overdrive. Dr Scher was wonderful. I was so nervous about the procedure, but he put me at ease yet was realistic about what results I could expect. I was beyond pleased with how my smile turned out! The team was very accommodating as well. Great experience.
