My son completed the EMT program at the Georgia Institute of EMS, and it was an excellent experience. The flex program covers all the EMT content, equivalent to a traditional course. The instructors and management are highly skilled and consistently exceed students' expectations. My experience at the Georgia Institute of EMS was fantastic. While I was somewhat concerned that this course could be too short to actually learn everything, this concern faded quickly. The instructors taught the material in an easy to understand, methodical way which made learning quick and effective. I would not recommend taking an EMT class at this place. I paid for the AEMT class in full. Then they extorted an additional $2,200 by telling me i had to pay this to transfer to the AEMT flex class, or I would fail and not receive my money back. So, I paid the $2,200. Then they postponed scheduling me for my clinicals. They then attempted to extort more money from me by telling me I had to pay an additional $700 per month until I finished my clinicals - although they were the ones who failed to schedule me in a timely manne... read more
I did the flex AEMT course, and I felt so much more confidence after finishing this course compared to when I took my emt course in a different state and different school years ago. It was so hands on and every instructor I had was willing to sit and teach until I had a good understanding of whatever was being done.
