Cancelled my mom’s chemo treatments and didn’t even tell her so we got up early for nothing, and their reason was because she was late paying her insurance, even tho she was told that she could still be treated but just have to sign a paper saying that she’s responsible for the payments until she pays her insurance

As a cancer warrior and survivor I thank God that I live near the Augusta Georgia Cancer Center. Since I began this fight in 2022,, my treatment - all medical staff, has been outstanding. Actually, every person working there that I’ve encountered - outstanding. HOWEVER, since Wellstar has taken over- implementing a different sign-in process - this part, is HORRIBLE. If you can avoid scheduling your echocardiogram here, please do so at all cost unless you have time to waste. I arrived at 1:15 PM for a 1:30 PM echocardiogram appointment and was not even checked in until after 1:50 PM. There were about 10 names ahead of me just for check in, with no communication about delays or expectations. I specifically asked how long the process would take and was told to sign in and that they plan to have me checked in prior to 130, but no one followed up, even as my appointment time passed. My fiancee had an appointment with Dr. Martha Terris at 2:450, finally saw her about 4. He needed his urology bag changed and this is how one of the urology doctors and nurse had him leave for a four hour drive home
