GA 811 needs to update their map and be consistent with their communication to the customers calling in locates. It is VERY frustrating when you call in a locate then they call you to tell you it was done incorrectly, so they walk you thru the correct process. Then some one else calls and tells you the one they told you how to do was also incorrect. This has happed multiple times in the last 2 months.
As a landscape contractor, i regularly have to have locates. AT&T is great about accurate and timely markings as is GA Power & Gas provider. COMCAST ? Xfinity is Horrible !!! On our last residential project in Fayette county, i requested locates 4 times, and used the 811 escalation team to try to get them out. They never showed up ! They "opt out" often which means they send back the "no conflict" message response and just wait to see if they have to repair it. I have been dealing with them for awhile since I am a contractor I do multiple jobs a week with them there supervisors are crap and will give you the run around I had to update a ticket because they have been so late and I am sure nothing was done about it! I never have problems like that with stakecenter or other companies so I would say USIC is the worst to have come out and locate anything. Waiting now on 2 tickets to be cleared that are several days late lying saying weather and it hasn't rained in 2 weeks.
GA811 is by far the BEST. We deal with another states 811 as well and constantly have issues with them, but GA811 is always on top of their locates and it helps make our excavation process super smooth. Keep up the great work :)
