I ordered a quart of white chowder and I paid $12.00 for potatoes, it had absolutely no clams in it.

I have been to George's more times than I can count, but today was the best meal I ever had there. Our waitress Dottie was a delight, and the mussels with bacon were incredible. I will be back soon!

Business response:

Thank you for the kind words Mike Gregory!

First time here In years as my 7 year old wanted chowder. Usually I go to Champlins but it wasnt open. The wait staff was great but when the chowder came i was so surprised as i think it was one of the worst i have ever had. My wifes (milk chowder) was horrible my 4 year old wouldn't eat it. Mine was the clear and had a weird taste and very little clams or potatoes let alone flavor. The rest of the meal went right along with the chowder unfortunately. I doubt i will ever recommend or go back and its a Shame a good restaurant... read more

Awesome off season experience. Scallops were the biggest of the year and fish tacos were very good. Portions were above average. Surprisingly good clam chowder more like stew type which is welcome after many of the overly thick chowders served in the area. Don't leave without a blood mary.

Clam cakes were pretty good. But the older short haired blonde waitress with the glasses was a little rude to us. However The hostess was was very nice, and the location and atmosphere was nautically nice.

Besides the awesome food and undoubtedly the incredible views, the staff really makes George's a very special place to dine and unwind. They also always seem to have lots of special events planned to make the customer experience even more fabulous!
