I've been a customer at Jonsons Independent Grocer, Smiths Falls, for a year now. About 6 months ago, they moved the 2 litre 1% milk cartons from half height to full top shelf height. Almost the first one I reached for hit the ground with a splash. Since then I am told over 10 more have been dropped. Even the staff say they have to stand on the sharp edge of the door frame to be able to load the cartons on the top shelf. Loblaws City Market The Post, Vancouver The security staff at City Market in The Post in Vancouver have been observed on occasion being overly aggressive physically with alleged shoplifters. Neither security nor staff can put their hands on a suspected shoplifter. This can lead to serious liability. Someone needs to educate store security staff.
