Dr Chaus did an excellent job repairing my complicated tibial fracture. However, he did not listen to me, and missed the wound infection which caused sepsis. When he drained it, he did not leave a drain, so I ended up needing another surgery. His staff refused to schedule my 2 week follow up appointment because "we are full" and "other people have needs" and never called me back when I asked them to check with him. If you are seeing him, just realize you will have to advocate for yourself and make his staff listen to you.
Dr. Chaus was very patient and answered all my questions. He explained clearly the healing process and what I could expect. The office is clean and pleasant and the staff is very professional
I met Dr. Chaus due to trauma after a fall. I broke both wrists, my knee cap and busted my head open. He literally put me back together and everything works! He also gave me an injection in my hip due to bursitis. I told him he was a one-stop-shop. The reason I gave him 4 rather than 5 is because I really didn't pick him and don't have experience with other trauma docs.
