We went there this weekend for our anniversary. We were running a little late and called to let them know, worried that we would lose our table reservation. The staff were wonderful and assured us they would hold the table until we got there. Upon arrival, we were greeted by George, who spoke to us like we were family. First time eating there and will never go back. First off the gal that brought the silverware over was not friendly and just throws the cup coasters down. My waitress was good. Food was not good at all. The bbq chicken was fatty along with the ribs. I was expecting fine dining and it was just like eating at a dirty bar. This was bar food at best and not fine dining

I need to be fair that I created an elevated experience in my head before going to this restaurant (not their fault - or is it?). I was new to town, everyone I met suggested George's Fine Steaks and Spirits as a "must do" item. I considered the name of this restaurant, reviewed their semi-fancy looking menu at the BnB I was staying at, the pricing was on the higher end, and we were told the place was small and reservations were often needed. Great steaks every time. Last one was a little fatty, but I still enjoyed it. First time ordering shrimp on the side and they forgot it. Will go back either way.

The Philly sandwich was supposed to have prime rib but the little bit of meat was weird and nearly white, completely tasteless. Had a stomachache for two days after eating. The baked potato was good. The salad was only lettuce and dressing with one crouton. The steak was small for what should have been 14 ounces. Waitress was perfect. Not busy 5-6 on a Monday.
