The George Peabody Library contains one of Johns Hopkins University's principal rare books and manuscripts collections and serves as a research center for students, faculty, and other scholars. As part of the Special Collections department of the Johns Hopkins Sheridan Libraries, the library hosts special public exhibitions and programs throughout the year in its exhibition gallery and reading room. It has also become one of Baltimore's premier rental facilities for weddings and social events.

Closed on Friday through Sunday which is horrendous for travelers. No warning from Hopkins to these students who flew internationally. The absolute rudest security guard on the US and I had to assure my classmate that Americans typically don't act that way. A stain on Hopkins and for the amount of tuition I pay, unforgivable.
Amazing experience. I sat down to write for a bit and it’s a really good environment even though people come in for pictures. It feels very safe to walk around this area during the day. It is free
