Dr. Costanzo & I made a plan to wean me off of the benzodiazepine I’ve been taking, given its addictive/potentially harmful nature. I felt that was an appropriate plan, as I know that the long-term usage of these drugs cause more harm than good. I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder at 16. I am now in my 30's. I have seen several psychiatrists over the years and most of the time their answer to my problems was to increase my medication or add new ones. George was the first one to really listen to what I had to say and take a hard look at my medication.
