We had a great day at George Inlet Lodge with Derek, Anna, Maddie, Jesse and Captain Sinky (what a name for a boat captain!). Excellent crab feast. Great boat trip -- just wish I could have captured better pictures of the bald eagles we saw.

Gorgeous locale and scrumptious crab made for such an incredible and interactive dining experience! While I can't return just yet...I think I'll have some delivered!
We took a floatplane to the lodge and enjoyed a crab feast. Had a wonderful time. Kellie was amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Ketchikan.
Do the Van Laars still own the George Inlet Lodge ? I have great memories of them back in Feb 1981 .
We didn't expect to have as much fun as we did. We went out on the boat for a crabbing adventure. Austie & Gil were fantastic!!! Then, we went back to the lodge for an unlimited-crab feast, followed by the best cheesecake I've ever had. Everyone was so nice, fun, & overall amazing. One of my favorite things was when Austie and Gil threw fish out right by the boat and got the Eagles to swoop down and get them RIGHT by the boat. I strongly recommend this excursion!!! :D
We were there last week on a cruise, took the tour from the Carnival ship, loved every minute of the tour then took us to the lodge for a crab feast. OMG I have had crab before & could take it or leave it, there is no way you leave this. It was the best and they just kept giving, and giving and giving no skimping. Highly recommend this for the beautiful scenery, the great staff, and of course the best Dungeness crabs & blue berry cheese cake. Don't let those 79 steps keep you away, they have a van even though we did not use ... read more
