In Emirates a backpack with laptop is not considered a laptop bag but a cabin luggage. It would be better to carry just one bag. Sometimes you get lucky and they check in your 2nd cabin luggage.
Free wifi. Few dining options, you can try the burger joint Ruby's (terminal E), it's pretty good.
Good chinese food near the boarding gate in terminal 1. The staff is super friendly, I felt just a little dizzy and they called the doctor of the airport to come see me 😦
Good thing? Free wifi. Very 'user friendly', just find the maps. Bad thing? Restrooms are filthy
