Mom has now been with Gentiva Hospice for about 4 months going on the 5th. They have been great!!. Many people I talk with say Hospice was pretty much useless. Now I can tell them to bad you didn't have Gentiva Hospice cause the one in Clinton Township has been wonderful. The Nurse we have is wonderful and very helpful and understanding (thank you Jamie S.) Thank you to the incredible women and men at Gentiva. Your unwavering support and compassion for our parents was such a gift. You treated them with great respect and cared for them as if they were your own. Thank you for leading us through the journey of their final months on this earth.

I can’t begin to sing enough praises and thank the staff of Gentiva for the professional, loving and sincere care they have given my mother. Their case workers, administrators, doctors/nurse-practitioners, nurses, aides, social workers, volunteers and chaplains all coordinate their expertise, skills and efforts to develop a personalized plan that will benefit my mother or your parent. Extraordinary. Hospice staff is knowledgeable and experienced. We were blessed with Catherine, Keyia and Thaddeous the Saver of challenging situations.Praise God for sending them all.

I know my father was very ill but we figured he had a few days at home. I believe they overdosed him on morphine and he died by choking on his vomit. The strength they delivered to us was alot higher 100/5ml (should only be used for folks used to opiates) vs 20/5ml the doctor prescribed at discharge from hospital. I had given 5mls as directed by his nurse but when I had to call for one to come help him their doctor Gee instructed her to give him somewhere between 1.5 and 2mls additional.
