I have had experience with Gentiva at Batesville for the past 7 months. I had a phone call setting up an appointment for my mother as she was discharged from the hospital within 30 minutes of speaking with the hospital's pallative care nurse. Since that time all the nurses and aides have been very positive and caring with my mother. They are efficient and do work with our schedule when necessary. This group of professionals and volunteers n the Rio Grande Valley, are the best I've ever been seen. They went above and beyond to care for our Mother. After my mother's funeral, a representative named Gaby, kept in touch with us for over a year. The priest who works for your company Fr. Martinez, administered the last rites for our mother. My husband was told that he had 6 months or less in November 2023. His doctor referred Ogeechee Area hospice. They were not taking good care of him, he almost died before his time under their care.I called Regency Hospice after hours and they were here the next day. They have gone above and beyond to help us. I tell everyone I talk with that if needed to use Regency. They have been so much help in a hard and trying time.

Avalon Hospice was so wonderful to help us when my sister had cancer before she passed away. Tonya came out every day, even on her day's off from work to check on her and she took such good care of her. Our family will forever be grateful to her! She made such a difference in such a sad time in our lives. Thank you so very much Tonya!! We are so thankful we had you to take care of our beautiful Jan!!

I can't safe enough about Avalon Hospice. I never thought after my nana having a routine back surgery that she ended up having complications from, we would have to call in hospice. Avalon stepped in right away from the first phone call. Within 30 minutes they had a hospital bed delivered and set up before, my nana was transported home. All of the nursing staff, the aids, the chaplains etc. everyone treated my nana and our family with upmost respect and cared for her to the very end. We can't recommend Avalon enough. Kindred Hospice of San Bernardino is not a company you want to hire. They say they have a Veteran program. We got a cheap pin and nothing more. They say they have a bereavement program. My wife passed a week ago and they are no where to be found. They told me they would provide everything needed for the care of my wife. I asked for a Hoyer lift and a tall back wheelchair. I was told they do not provide these things.

I am the oldest daughter and sitting her while my mother is suffering . Four hours ago we were told meds were to be called in but here we wait as we have for everything. We have a nurse with as much compassion as my big toe and as efficient. My mother asked for three things, not to die alone, not to suffer, and not to be left afraid about her treatment thus far the only one met is her not being alone, thanks to her family. I can’t in good Christian conscience recommend these people. M.L. Mostella

Southerncare Hospice needs to look up the definition of "Hospice" I have allowed my family member to stay in their care for months ONLY because of a very OVER-qualified aide that treated my family member the RIGHT way! HOWEVER the rest of the staff (when they can keep staff) are nothing but BOGUS FRAUDULENT DEMEANING INCOMPETENT BUFFOONS!!!!!!
