Gennaro's originally opened in 1982 on Savanah Hwy by brothers Mike and Robert Gennaro and Mike's wife Linda. They eventually moved to Dorchester Rd and have been there for the last 22 yrs. Mike and Linda's sons, Jimmy and Michael, have grown up in the restaurants have become chefs as well. My favorite Italian Restaurant in Charleston! Both locations are outstanding, very authentic.
this is an amazing restaurant. You should try it. You won't be disappointed.
amazing lasagna, just like my mom used to make. I mean, she isn't italian, but her's has always been my favorite, and all the other lasagnas I have tried just never seemed quite as good in comparison.
We had the four cheese ravioli with the meatballs server/bartender Angie was awesome the food was terrific!
Over rated, over priced and the host at the counter was rude. Food was pretty good though.
Best happy hour in the country. Their steaks and all Italian dishes are unbeatable!!!!
