Their customer service and policies are horrible. They won’t accept any returns even if the product is incorrect. I am having to escalate the problem higher to try to get a solution. Be careful when you order on their website
Is the "genie" a few thousand years old, like I dream of Genie was?
I bought a Genie opener, installed it and a few months later it failed. I couldn't figure out the issue, so I contacted Genie and described it and they told me to call a service company they recommended, which owns Genie. The serviceman said it was a broken sensor that happens a lot on that model and he had extra sensors with him and fixed it there. Minimum one hour charge plus part. I paid him but couldn't get Genie to reimburse me because they said they don't cover labor, only the $15 part, which they also didn't pay. They... read more

Poor customer support. They make smart door controllers but the set up and instructions are absolutely the worst of any product I’ve purchased. The instructions were poor and left out an important step. Once I had it their Aladdin Connect up and running it operates great and all feature work.
