I purchased a new garage door opener on the 30 of November of 2025, had to wait till it came to be installed on the 12/15/25. Their customer service and policies are horrible. They won’t accept any returns even if the product is incorrect. I am having to escalate the problem higher to try to get a solution. Be careful when you order on their website
Is the "genie" a few thousand years old, like I dream of Genie was?
I bought a Genie opener, installed it and a few months later it failed. I couldn't figure out the issue, so I contacted Genie and described it and they told me to call a service company they recommended, which owns Genie. The serviceman said it was a broken sensor that happens a lot on that model and he had extra sensors with him and fixed it there. Minimum one hour charge plus part. I paid him but couldn't get Genie to reimburse me because they said they don't cover labor, only the $15 part, which they also didn't pay. They... read more
