I had my baby here in July. This is my second time giving birth here and both times have been a wonderful experience. The entire nursing staff is so caring, the way that they treat new mothers who are in such a vulnerable position is just outstanding. Shout out to the dream team Dr Bruno and Dr powers, my superwoman nurses suzie and ocie, and the AMAZING nurse anesthetist Mary. I am so grateful to you!
Great experience! Staff were kind and helped explain everything and taught me so much, especially my nurses Susie,Amanda and Ginger. The nurse anesthetist was efficient and nice. Intake and triage was quick and understanding of my pain and nausea. *edited for spelling
If you are a high risk pregnancy or want to ensure high quality care I recommend going to Hurley maternal fetal medicine. MFM at Genesis is terrible. The ultrasound tech is very unpleasant and rude. She made inappropriate comments about me having “pregnancy brain,” and commented on the type of under garment I was wearing. Beyond unprofessional. We had our not so little (he was over 9lbs) boy here on 5/15/22. I was in complete control of my induction and our nurse Bambi was amazing. The whole staff here made us feel great and informed. It was the best delivery experience I have had
I’ll start by saying the birthing center and labor and delivery team was great, this post is a warning for those seeking high risk pregnancy care through this hospital. Due to a previous 21 week loss I needed twice weekly fetal NSTs. As I was on modified bed rest and high risk for going into preterm labor, my doctor recommended having the NSTs done at the Genesys MFM office since it was closer to my home.
