I bought a GV70 through the Edinburgh Genesis 12 months ago. The car has been brilliant, quiet, refined, conformable and real quality everything I wanted. Andrew and Carrieann even 12 months alter have followed up on my additional requests, a great service, better than the normal garages who don't care once your out the door.
I recently was in the market for a used Genesis. . I had a horrific experience at another Genesis dealership close by on trying to purchase a GV70. I called and met with salesman Eric , Manager Ali and the general manager Colby. . What a delight it is to deal with quality, honest and caring people. We bought a 2025 GV80. We were specifically asked if the title of ownership would be in both my wife and my names, to which we answered yes. The title came back in just one name which causes a huge inconvenience of having to reassign the title to two names at a cost and then a new registration requiring us to pay again. One would think that a title ownership detail would be gotten correct, where we were specifically asked at the time of purchase. They claim to listen to the customer but the results prove they really don't.
Sales process was very easy, no pressure. John Bannon did an excellent job. Beware of Finance Manager. Not very transparent. Kept all info to himself. Tried to sell us a 3 year maintenance package that was already provided by Genesis. Other bundled packages he offered kept changing in price each time I questioned him. First time owner of a Genesis GV70 and very happy with my first service experience. At all points throughout the booking process Damon kept me updated on the procedure and timings. On the day Damon delivered me a Lovely clean loan vehicle and drove mine off for servicing. Hours later a gleaming spotlessly clean gv70 was returned by him. Very happy with the whole experience. Bought a 2025 GV80 in August. Called to get serviced, they won't have a loaner car available for over 2 weeks? Doesn't do me a lot of good given I'm headed out on a 800-mile drive in 2 weeks? I had to call in to the dealership 3 times to finally get through to service. Not sure why there isn't a phone prompt for service, or a direct line? Tried to schedule complimentary maintenance/service on my 2025 GV80 today. I was told over 2 week wait for a service loaner. Seems excessive, and in like most of the other reviews I read, Genisis fails to live up to the service after the fact of a luxury vehicle manufacturer. Never had this level of service at Mercedes or Acura. Kinda sad as it's a nice ride, lack of service will make me think about another manufacturer next purchase.
