Been coming to this gym for over a year and it’s hard to feel motivated when all of the equipment is old, run down and clearly not maintained well. Saw spider webs the other day on a machine, and the one cardio machine is always sticky so you know it’s never been wiped down properly..cancelling membership as of today and going to a gym that has actual options for leg machines to start, newer and maintained weight/cardio equipment and better cleanliness. Worst gym you can’t even cancel your membership even after the 6 months term mailed them more then 5times called them don’t know how many times but they just won’t stop deducting the fee

It is unfortunate that I have to write this. I was a member of Genesis Fitness for around eight months. The gym itself is not bad, but many of the machines are in poor condition or simply do not work. In addition, the process of cancelling a membership is extremely complicated. I am currently overseas, but before leaving I went to the gym in person to cancel my membership. There is always something new happening at Genesis Gym Lake street Cairns. 2 things: the 28 day Coaching Zone Challenge seems to be more " challenging" than the previous ones! I am really enjoying it! As usual, the instructors are fantastic! They give their personal attention & there is a competition between the various participating teams that make it more interesting. The 2nd new thing: Hyrox. Definitely challenging!
