I'm here as a guest for the young adult training and I have already felt so welcomed.
The staff is amazing with support for education and employment just yesterday I sat with Carol in the Cafe expressing my fear or failing sociology she jumped right in and said she would help me to figure out what I am doing wrong i like the fact that she will work with me not do the work for me...... Training and development has an amazing out pour of support also Thank you Evan, Kevin, Beck and Sean for encouraging us to reach our goals
The Generis club is one of the best resources in the city of Worcester. Not only does it assist Ita members with vocational, social and housing needs, it allows membra to identify their strengths and grow as individuals and as a community. Its not clinically driven, it is teamwork. Members and staff work side by side to provide tools for becoming and strenghtening success in our community. Spending a day at Genesis is like hiking up a mountain; you made it to the top, and the rest is all downhill.
I can be myself and not have to worry about being labled or judged. Everyone is equal... Just knowing that I have a place that accepts me, welcomes me and is happy I showed up no matter what type of mood I am in makes me feel important. Most importantly Genesis is a reason for me to get up out of bed in the morning.
