I went to genesis a couple days before my 16th birthday. We ate the same meals 3 times a day everyday of the stay. The blankets were so thin and the mattresses were even worse. There’s crazy drawings all over the dressers that they made no attempt to even cover like they what you to read it and go crazy. My lips were so chapped and I bawled every night I was there. Do not recommend sending your child here! As an adult now.

Yelled at Not listened to Ignored Left to sit and stare at the wall No groups, no therapeutic talk therapy, no compassion.... Just a bunch of psychological cruelties Almost attacked in my room by an offender let out of the jail who was allowed to scream and yell and threaten patients all through the ward, all night long. I stayed there a couple weeks ago. I overdosed and an ambulance got me from my house and I stayed at the ER for about 3 days waiting for a bed to be available at this place. Some nurses were nice, others were completely awful . The doctors did mot help my issues I had told them about my issues at home and they did nothing to help. On the website it claims that children will be allowed outside, but this is just not true. Me and the other kids spent about a week without going outside. Genesis provides very poor services and in my case attempted to cheat my insurance company. I promptly reported this and all services were denied meaning Genesis had to foot the bill. Staff is largely incompetent and often engages in criminal activity to both patients and to each other. The n word was often spoken freely in front of staff while I was a patient as well. Staff showed no concern for this behavior.

Called about scheduling an outpatient appointment, this office is for inpatient only (was unaware of this until calling) the person I spoke to was so rude and hung up on me.
