Coordination with Aetna insurance was atrocious. My wife began an implant procedure after being given and estimate of our share of the cost. This required calling Aetna. So why if they called to get an estimate did they not request authorization? The Aetna plan specifically states: If you seek care from an Aetna PPO participating provider, your provider will automatically, when necessary, submit predetermination information to the network.
