Overall, best value for peace of mind. Incredibly quick response to service calls (which have totaled maybe three times in 10 years). My Early alarm response on a 2:00 am neighborhood flooding situation resulted in saving an entire street of neighbors from catastrophic damage. (None of whom had any sort of alarm system or basement water sensors.
August 2026 - Our system needed a few adjustment form the previous installation. Marc came over and did a follow up and corrected the problem in a few minutes. Another 5 Star for General Security and their employees. June 2026 - Our security system started not working properly after being installed approx. 29 years ago. Over many years we have appreciated fast response from the New Hartford office sending, Gerry, to fix things. He is friendly and efficient. Gives us peace of mind. Today Gerry came to replace two hard wired carbon monoxide detectors. As he explained they only last so long. These new ones will be good for ten years. As always Gerry calls to arrange time to visit, then calls when he is on his way. He knows our system and we appreciate his dedication.
5/4 - Another quick response to my call about smoke detector "beeping". They came out quickly, changed battery (in both smoke detectors) & everything's fine now. 4/2/26 - Google says I can edit my review, but not add a new one..... I don't have ANY issues with General Security. Called yesterday afternoon about a CO "failure". Ross was here nice & early this morning. Issue resolved & he checked all devices while here.
