The General Morgan Inn is probably the nicest hotel you’ll find in the area, and if you appreciate historic properties, it’s worth considering. The lobby is beautiful, with lovely architecture, large windows that fill the space with natural light, and plenty of spots for great photos. The overall vibe is quaint. I really wanted to like this place because the building itself has so much history and character, but my stay was quite underwhelming. The room felt like it had not been updated in a very long time and there were some cleanliness issues that were hard to ignore. It is a beautiful property from the outside, but the actual experience of staying there did not live up to the expectations I had based on the photos. Hopefully, they can put some work into the maintenance because it has potential to be much better.

We spent one night here, and it was quite miserable. The air conditioner was EXTREMELY loud!!! And, due to that, every time it came on or went off, it would wake me up due to how loud it was. I turned it up warmer so it wouldn't come on as much, but we needed it on due to it getting hot in the room. And, the vent was way high in the wall and hit right on us in the bed.
