I first discovered General Finishes when a store I worked at began to carry some of their products. I loved the ease of using their milk paints, and used them to create a beautiful, durable heirloom for my friends' daughter. As a penmaker, the product I use most is the Woodturners' Finish, and I just love how easy to use it is, how durable it is, and how great and glossy it looks. I use it on pens that end up in my wet hair and they withstand even that! I just wish there were more places to buy in Ontario.
Love love love general finishes Milk Paints and Stains. Goes on smooth and I love that the paint is self leveling so brush marks are not a problem. It also goes a long way and clean up is easy. For added dimension, try the Pearl Effects. There is no better paint on the market for furniture and cabinets.
In my painting expierence, I found that General Finishes products are by far the easiest to work with. I have referred many new comers to painting to use GF products,
I am a huge fan of the GF Gel stains and top coats... LOVE to use them and really love the gorgeous finish they leave when you're done a project. The colour palettes are beautiful, options are endless and it's affordable. Next I want to try the GF milk paints! Thanks General Finishes for creating such great products... now how about getting a Retailer in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario Canada!!! lol!!

We bought our fixer upper home two years ago. In an effort to reduce costs a friend of mine suggested I do some painting of built in furniture myself. She suggested General Finishes milk paint. Bam. I recently refinished a dresser that was in bad shape. This was the first time using Java gel stain. I was so pleased with the results and how user friendly it was! I sealed it with High Performance Top Coat, another great product! Next I would love to try the paints!
