DR.Matthew Schultzel is very high professionally and makes you very comfortable.He performed robotic hernia surgery on me on Jan 2,2026 and I recovered very fast.I did not really have any post operative pains etc.
dr. Schultzel deleted my first one star review. Hmmmm....suspicious. If you have a fissure do not go to him. I repeat, do not go to him.
If you need a Gastro surgeon, Matt Schultzel is recommended. Having had 2 major surgeries in the last year, I can vouch for his professionalism and his proficiency with the non-invasive, robotic surgery. His staff is well trained and considerate.
I waited over a year to write this review, because who really knows if they did a good job in the first few months following a surgery? My inguinal hernia first appeared last summer and during the initial consultation, Dr. Schultzel agreed to postpone the surgery until after the Bike MS 150 event that October. We did the surgery in November, he allowed me to resume easy running two weeks following the surgery, but cycling waited until after the six-week checkup.
