Best Brows! – I came into Gene Juarez really needing some help with my brows. My aesthetician, Erin was great! She showed me what ideally an eyebrow should look like, and showed me what would be perfect for my face. She was so easy and friendly to be around, and did not shame me for my bad plucking habits -- like others have done in the past. I will definitely be back to see Erin!
Gene Juarez is NOT a good place to go – Gene Juarez hires some of the rudest and most incompetent people ever. The front desk people mill about and when they do chance to address the CUSTOMERS they do so with such rudeness it appears to be something they have been taught at the GJ School. The hair folks are training in the 'one cut/color' for all. Should you chance to receive a less than desirable cut/color (which I have received both), do NOT bring it to the attention of the management as they are the rudest of the rude. I ... read more
Honestly, don't waste your money here! – Tried using GJ salons 3 times in 3 different locations (YES I guess I'm a glutton for punishment!) Did so because I wanted to make sure I gave them a fair shake before totally discounting them. ALL 3 times were HORRIBLE experiences. Just as others are saying, I experienced for myself a very rude and condescending staff, the stylists did NOT listen to my requests, and I left each time feeling VERY disappointed! Mixed Feelings – First off, I love spa services, and recently went to Gene Juarez for the first time (Bellevue, WA). Facility looked very clean. Great ambience. Lot's of appropriate pampering. My Massage Therapist and my Body Care Aesthetician both did great work, and were professional, courteous and pleasant. Great color with Quint Elby – I visited for the first time in Feb. and received wonderful highlights by Quint - reversing a coloring disaster. I have since returned and continue to be pleased. What I like about Quint is that he makes wonderful color recommendations and is very pleasant to work with. I have also had my hair cut recently by Lena - excellent cut, good subtle layers. Quint Eby – I have been a client of Quint's for over a decade. I would never go to anyone else for my hair coloring services. Quint makes me look younger by blending in my gray hair and "introducing a glamorous golden blonde" to compliment my skin tone and bring out my eyes. He is professional, enthusiastic, artistic and friendly- a pleasure to know. My hair is always beautiful when I leave. Quint makes me feel pretty. The price is high but he is worth every cent.
User review by lovlydarcy – They ruined my hair, were rude to me, would not fix my hair properly and belittled my intelligence and concern for my hair and threatned to ban me from all gene juarez salons. I was a loyal customer for over 6 years and will never ever step foot in one of the locations again. don't bother calling corporate to complain, they will only hang up on you.
Great place if you know who to see... – I never know my schedule ahead of time, so I like coming here due to the convenience of short notice appointments. Whether if it's for a quick hair trim, pedicure, hair wave, or whatever, I trust they won't go wrong (as long as it's nothing drastic like a hair cut or body wax). They also do a free make-up touch-up with any service, which is nice. THEY RUINED MY HAIR – There techniques are below average at best. They took a huge chunk out of my hair. Other stylists continued to cut my hair uneven. I would never recommend this salon. Too many stylists for them to be good. Go to Gary Manuel!
