Love this place. Bought my second car there a few years ago from Chris. Went in for an Oil Change & pulling into the parking lot my car started chugging and the Check Engine Light came on. Cody from service was nice &helpful. Took my car for repair on Thursday. Stuart was so nice and gave me good advice on my repair questions & options. The prices were great and it was all done with in one day. They have a very nice man driving their shuttle also!
My wife and I just got a new Explorer and the dealer was awesome! Great family run dealer and our salesperson, Chris M was top notch. He answered all of our questions and everything went smoothly! Would go anywhere else!
We had new tie rod ends installed, an alignment performed, and the transmission filter and transmission oil changed on an older model Explorer. The prices were reasonable and the service was incredible. We took it in in the morning, and drove it home that afternoon! Gene Butman Ford's parts and service departments support Ford eCommerce, which is a major advantage for scheduling repairs and getting them done in a timely manner. I don't like having to have my cars fixed, but when I have to, Gene Butman is the place to go.
Cannot be trusted. I bought a 2003 Toyota Tacoma from Ray in the used car department in late January. Since then it seems I have noticed something new wrong with it weekly. -The center console was not secured properly and rattle like crazy, -The bed-liner flew out while I was driving, -Underneath the lost bed-liner the paint was scratched and the bed was rusting despite Ray telling me it was "very clean" and had "no rust.", -The emergency break squeals when I turn it on, -and a couple other little things like that. Went in to look at a car on Saturday and was told they could run credit and do financing on Monday. Car was then sold and I was told it was their policy not take deposits or put cars on hold. They should have either sold it to me on Saturday then or waited to pull my credit.
This dealership will treat you well. They're professional in every way, and yet you'll be like a member of the family. I was in a car accident, which is a very stressful thing anyway, and to make it worse, it was my first. Even though it was in Lansing, I had my car towed all the way to Gene Butman to have it fixed. I highly recommend Gene Butman Ford for any first time car buyer. Everyone I worked with was professional and courteous. If I decide to buy a car in the future I am returning to Gene Butman. This is a great dealership, if you are looking for a car Gene Butman should be your first stop.
If you are buying a new car, Gene Butman is a good place to buy one. If you are going to buy a used car, don't go to the Used Cars at Butman. We were going to purchase a used car that 5 days ago, we were verbally quoted 10300. We went to sign the papers today, and they wrote it up for 13300. I just got my first lease at Gene Butman Ford, a 2012 Ford Fusion and I LOVE IT! I highly suggest you look into this car if you are looking for a new car and have no idea what to get! Not only is the car's handling and driving very nice, but the options on it don't even compare to my previous car (Honda Civic). My service at Gene Butman was outstanding.
