Such a fun experience, and a souvenir to boot! Variety of jewelry options which you design and create yourself (with professional guidance and help if required) Ours turned out professional looking and it was our first time. Zoe was so patient and helpful throughout the experience. Highly recommend!
I loved this studio, and the creative options for jewelry are wonderful. The employees were attentive, patient and talented. We had a group of 7 and they did a wonderful job balancing us, new walk-ins with questions and another group! It sounds like their employees are not paid competitively which is shocking. This business should be paying their jewelry crafters at least $20/hour in today’s market. We tipped and would love to help offset their time (3 full hours) put into our experience without decent pay.
owners are the most selfish greedy people you could imagine, I’ve met them. they do not pay their employees fairly, they pay 4/hr and expect the people already paying 150+ for a ring to pay their employees salary so they can save money and franchise the business.
Love all the people that work here and the experience is cool… with that said, I’m extremely disappointed with gem studios business practices when it comes to compensating employees. Despite charging outrageously high prices for their services, they refuse to pay their staff even minimum wage, expecting them to rely solely on tips to make a living. It’s unfair and unethical for a business to profit significantly while failing to provide fair wages to the people who keep it running. Tipping should be a bonus for great service... read more
I had an absolutely spectacular experience. The website does not do the experience justice. We had Lea as an instructor and she was a vibrant, patient, and solid person. I got to do way more than I expected, and I'm obsessed with the piece that I made. I don't ski but I came with a group for a ski trip and this was ABSOLUTELY time well spent. I spent about ~160 on a sterling silver ring and that includes a kind of nicer stone along with embellishments. 10/10
