Very SLOW.. And I have called twice last week and got NO return call back even though I told them both times it was important & and about my daughter's medicine.. I actually had to call again this morning just to find out that the Dr did respond but the person that is to call & relay the message from the Dr failed to do so.. I usually wait 10 mins or longer when I call there just to make an appointment or talk to a nurse.. It's a bunch of bull & people need to do their job.. I switched our Dr to a different facility.. Waited over an hour in the waiting room because the doctor was running behind and still wasn't seen. Cancelled the appointment. My kids have been going here for 17 years and in the past year it has gone down hill.
Dealt with alexis...most unprofessional, low class to ever Leak into the medical field.....reported the incident.
Healthcare providers have been nice but like all billing situations, BE CAREFUL. Needed an MRI. Doctor submitted request to insurance for approval. Received call from Geisinger that it was approved and an appointment was made (by Geisinger). I received an EOB for $4,000.00 stating denied by insurance because "no auth. Out of network". Called Geisinger. They said it was my responsibility to make sure provider was in network. I do not trust Geisinger Family Practice any longer. Their phone systems are horrendous and have been for at least a year. I will often wait on hold 15+ minutes to try to make an appointment. The doctors tell you they want to see you "today" but the scheduler refuses to try to accommodate that. Most recently, my husband had blood work done for a serious concern and we received an email on Sunday that the results were in.
