I went into Geek Squad today after going to Mobile Tech on Rivers Ave. Mobile Tech wanted to charge me $85 to get rid of a PUP that would pop up on my Dell Laptop and freeze my screen. Wanting me to put in my CC information. The young lady Tatiana I think was her name fixed it for me for free in less than 5 minutes. Moreover she spoke to me very professionally and didn't make me feel like a dope because I'm 64 and not good with Technology. Geek Squad technician was requested to repair a tv that had a corrupted BIOS. Instead of offering to repair the BIOS by simply installing a fresh copy into the motherboard, he immediately went for the sales pitch to entice my wife and I to buy a new television set. Technician also had us purchase a motherboard from a 3rd party company, but upon arrival, the technician also damaged it. Add on top of it the technician made a mess in the room and never bothered to clean it up.
Absolutely horrible. My mom cancelled her account by mistake online today, she is 75 years old. She called right after to tell them her mistake and they charged her to become a member again. $199 dollars!!! Unbelievable and she has been a member for years. Very disappointed they took advantage of an elderly person. Disgusting
