They treat you like you inconvenience them. I don't care if you have an appointment or not. They will talk to you like you are stupid and have you sit in the corner away from the main desk where you can be forgotten should you walk in for assistance God forbid. Worst experience ever, I highly recommend against using them.

My experience with the Geek Squad at Best Buy Everett would normally get one star, but it was marginally better than the online chat I'd had with a Geek earlier, and one of these guys was at least polite. I have paid an annual subscription for several years for computer repair services by the Geek Squad and will not be renewing my subscription. The only reason I've had to use this service in the past was for a computer tune up. Now when I have a real problem, the geeks are not able to help and I had to seek out and pay an IT professional to recover passwords and bookmarks which were lost when Firefox did an update. The professional recovered the information in less than 15 minutes. Don't bother signing up for this service.
I recently visited Best Buy and was really pleased with the service. The advisor Gabriel was a true professional: they listened carefully to all my questions, helped me choose the right model, and even gave me a few useful tips on setup. You could tell they really knew their stuff and genuinely wanted to help. Thanks to such attentive and friendly service, I left the store in a great mood and will definitely recommend this place to my friends.
