It's slightly embarrassing but anyone with kids I'm sure has had them go through the "throw everything in the toilet phase". This time my Son decided to do this with my phone. I did everything I could to dry it out, including putting it in rice which I saw on the internet. But my phone still would not turn on. A friend recommended that I use Geek IT to have a serious virus removed from my computer. The technician explained what was required to clean the hard drives. It took a couple of days and at the end of each day they called to inform me of the status. They suggested I change the anti-virus program to a free program and they installed it and had it running when I picked up my computer. Its been two months since they serviced my computer. Its running as fast now as the day I purchased it. Great job Geek IT.
I recently scheduled a service call for my business. They were able to send someone out the same day which was a relief. My server was acting a little strangely and of course it is during our peak season(Valentine's Day). Shannon was the Technician and ran various tools to try and find the problem. What impressed me the most was that he took added steps to physically inspect the enterior of the computer as well. Just took my PC to them for a virus. They said I had win2010 virus and took care of removing it for me. What I was truly impressed with was that they explained how this virus got on to my system despite having antivirus and what I needed to watch out to help keep from getting it again (or maybe others). It was nice to have someone break it down for me so that I could watch out for these kinds of things in the future.
Very personable service. Provided many options that I could take for repairing my laptop and explained the differences on a very understandable non-technical level.
I wouldn't recommend their services to anyone. They are only nice to deal with when they are taking money from you. If you actually expect services commensurate with those fees, you should definitely look elsewhere. They have a very shady policy they ask you to sign, which they use to fall back on if you are unhappy with or question anything. The Geeks were very friendly and took the time to explain all of the technical issues with me. They even called me everyday just to let me know they were still working on things. I didn't have to call them....THEY CALLED ME!
