Her office called to tell me that a scheduled sleep study was denied. Turns out it was denied because office did not send the needed clinical paperwork for them to review. That is an amatuer hour mistake.
AWFUL....SIMPLY AWFUL! DO.....NOT.....GO.....TO...HER! Late/rude/impatient/told me wasting her 15 minutes of time and why am i still on anti-seizure med when i haven't had one in nine years! If I could give a ZERO STAR I would!
MD has no interest in listening to or discussing with patient. This generated lack of confidence in her recommendations.
I'm afraid Dr. Gebhardt was really awful in conducting a neuro eval of my 89 year old mother. She was curt, rushed, disrespectful, slapped down test sheets for my mother to fill in word puzzles, etc then snatched them away as soon as my mother made an error, to slap down the next, making it clear my mother was 'failing' the tests. Then she insisted on talking only to me (my mother is NOT incompetent, just having word-finding problems) even after I asked her twice to speak directly to my mother
Spent ZERO time explaining my condition. Did not respond to phone calls at all. Ordered a sleep test to determine suspected condition. Test came back with no indication of abnormality, yet made a clinical diagnosis & prescribed a very dangerous/controversial drug "clonazepam". Did not mention very serious side effects even when I asked. Said that the sleep test was not administered properly so she couldn't trust results & she would "read up" on the condition after she prescribed drug.
To start the whole process, the office staff is extremely rude and short. After getting through them the doctor was 1 hour late and entered the room with food in her mouth/eating. Acted like I was wasting her time. Her replies to my questions and concerns were that of a teenager response. She is very condescending and tacky. Not a the brain doctor I was seeking.
