20-30 years ago in Perth dermatologists were generally very professional, knowledgeable, efficient, capable, and respectful towards female patients. WHAT HAPPENED? If you need a dermatologist my advice is to look for a really old one. Go into any pharmacy and you'll find an entire aisle of expensive "therapeutic skin care" products marketed as useful for eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, etcetera. If I could rate Kurt Gebauer a zero I would! My first appointment was 17 years ago and was told that the red and irritated patch on my left hand was Psoriasis. He suspected that it was caused by an immune supressing drug I was taking. I used this medication for a few years on and off, as well as many other drugs that cause skin dryness and irritation.
