Very happy to have found GEARS. I have a manual Jeep Wrangler, and was having issues with the clutch. John is very detailed oriented, very knowledgeable, and most importantly, honest. Every time I’ve had an issue with my Jeep, I’ve brought it to John. He’s not cheap!! But you get what you pay for. Each time I’ve brought John my Jeep, he’s immediately greeted me at the garage door, he listens to what is happening with my car and he is immediately working towards fixing it. Had G.E.A.R.S preform a post-purchase inspection on a ‘88 IROC-Z i had recently purchased and he was able to get me in the next morning after calling and did the inspection quickly, and very thoroughly. communicated everything he found even included pictures and how to approach it and wich things needed attention first. very very helpful and a extremely well trained technician. Best auto shop in hawaii hands down.
Could have been more stars!!! Job was completed by owner/mechanic. Estimate was provided and got a quote $600 cash only. Credit card machine was not working. I called back and was not able to get cash. Owner said that the credit card machine is updating and will be ready on a later time. I ask if I can take back car but it started to get worked on (11:45). Got another call that the car was ready for pick up (2:00pm). Was charged for 3 hours of labor and a 10% discount for parts.
