We had to meet with Dr. Bennett for a routine pregnancy appt after our usual (and incredible) OB was out of office. Dr. Bennett was uncommunicative and quite rude. She started the appointment by shaming me about a concern I had and saying “it’s not about how uncomfortable you are, it’s about your baby”. My discomfort wasn’t the issue. I've seen Dr. Bennett for a few years as my OBGYN. This past week I found myself in a unique situation - what started as a routine ultra sound for stomach pain at a Kaiser clinic resulted in multiple medical procedures/surgeries two days later. At the time of the ultra sound it was unknown as to what the issue was - there was a mass. I emailed Dr. Bennet as I checked into the Urgent Care (confused by what radiology was saying) and she called me immediately to tell me what was known at the time. Horrible doctor. Flat out appeared abusive during a procedure of inserting a birth control device. Not to mention the birth control was inappropriate in the first place as she sold it as part of solution to a problem it does not solve. I had side effects immediately and had to switch doctors, who then questioned why she even chose that procedure as it was a bad choice and not the cure. Dr. Bennett is great!
Dr Bennett has taken great care of me and my daughter for years. She’s always responsive and caring, skilled, providing exactly the treatment we needed. And helpful referrals.
Dr. Bennett gives it to you straight, but with empathy. She's incredibly learned and capable, and makes me feel stronger and better as a woman. So grateful to have her in my corner. I should add that the staff are super friendly and have a great sense of humor. Woman power abounds in her office!
We went in for our first ultrasound and when entered the room she barely acknowledged my husband. Then she became quite rude and very, very condescending to both of us when we asked questions. She completely ruined what should've been a very special moment. Although a very capable physician, Dr. Bennett has a total lack of empathy and it's why we'll be requesting to be seen by a different doctor.
