I found GBA Realty during my 2nd year in Oakland and enjoyed my five year stay at their property. The manager (Quan), his team, along with the landlord, accommodated us at every turn and responded promptly to maintenance concerns. By far the worst housing agency I have ever used. Foremost, their rentals are significantly overpriced, which I knew when I signed the lease, but I needed housing quickly. Unfortunately, I did not know I was signing up for an incredibly unpleasant year. My first red flag was Quan repeatedly saying I should be so grateful that he is "allowing" me to lease an apartment despite having a full time job that was over three times the rent. Quan is hands down one of the most amazing, caring and really genuine human beings I have ever met. I moved to SF in 2017 for a change and better opportunities. Unfortunately, I had run into some hard times before so my credit was shot. Many people wouldn't think twice to consider my credit at all.
