Wow, I looked him up because he was a total A-hole to me, not a patient but he uses our rental car service, I drive a courtesy shuttle to and from the airport. Seeing these reviews it all checks out. This guy needs help, I would hate him to be my doctor or anyone else’s.
Never in my life have I met someone who was that arrogant and condescending.
I've been seeing Dr Gutta for nearly a decade .. and I can say with certainty .. Dr Gutta is the best Dr I have ever had. Yes.. he is very direct and will not tolerate being bs'd. If you are a person who needs to clean up your habits. There is not doctor better. If you want a push over doctor go elsewhere.
Take the time to read the bad reviews...wish I had. WORST doctor ever! Very arrogant, aggressive manner of speaking...condescending is putting it MILDLY. Don’t waste your money or time. Deserves ZERO stars!

IF I could put a 0 I would. I was a patient of his for over 4 years. I loved him, thought so highly of him. As soon as I realized that I needed more help geared toward addiction from the medication he prescribed to me for 4 years, he turned into the biggest jerk and disrespected me and my family. And threated to call my job if I did not do what he asked. I also wrote him an email asking for help and he did not call me back or see me for a whole week after I begged to see him. Dr. Gutta has looked by far deeper into my symptoms by asking many questions and has found more answers to my problems than any Doctor. Every visit is thorough and always has time to listen. He has been a tremendous help with getting me back to being more productive by finding the cause, explaining and treating it accordingly.
Made appointment to see this guy 2 weeks ago, was VERY CLEAR with staff about the reason for appointment request as my time is valuable as is the Drs. All the negative reviews explain this guy accurately, going into my horrendous experience would only be redundant. That being said, everyone reports to a supervisor, currently disabled SSDI and treating with 5 different surgeons and physicians; all with their own “specialty”. I am writing this with a very heavy heart, I have been a patient of Dr. Gutta for close to 10 years. I think of him as more than just my doctor, he is like a brother. But Since he has moved to Dupage Medical our relationship has changed, he has changed. I have noticed a huge difference in the care he gives. I know he would be very hurt if he knew I felt this way. He was absolutely patronizing. I wish I never saw him as a patient. I will not see him again. If you are someone who wants to communicate with your doctor I advise you to find someone else. I don't wish him as a doctor to anyone. Absolutely no one should have him unless you enjoy being lectured and treated poorly.
