My husband recently had a difficult surgery performed by Dr. Jain (Whipple procedure on 10/22.). We can not thank him enough. The surgery, although difficult and lengthy, went very well without complications. Every step of the way he explained, in a manner we could understand, what was going to happen. My name Dr. Denis Gallagher. I traveled from New Jersey to have Dr. Jain to perform my kidney transplant. I first met Dr. Jain on Jan. 28 2019. Its was during the polar vortex. He was extremely thorough. I knew I had the right surgeon. I had already been to 3 kidney transplant centers on the east coast. Iowa Methodist was head and shoulders above them. Dr. Jain operated on me for neuro endocrine tumors in the liver and pancreas. From my first meeting with him to discuss surgery options, through surgery and recovery, it was apparent that he is a very skilled surgeon. He was concerned, patient, and always took the time for all of our questions. I feel very fortunate to have him as my surgeon.
Dr Jain is an excellent liver surgeon. Our first meeting was very informative as to my condition and the options I had to take care of my liver tumor situation. Dr Jain explained all my options and thought surgery was possible, which was my feeling also. He did an excellent job and explained the surgery in detail. I would recommend him as a surgeon and as an understanding human. I wish him the best in the future.
