Takeout review. Food came pretty quickly, and it was packaged well. Fried food travelled pretty well. Wanted to try gator bites, so I got an order with the spicy batter. I’m not sure if gator naturally has a very light flavour but it wasn’t very noticeable. Could have been chicken for all I know. We stopped by Gator's Dockside for food and to catch some sports, and had a really good experience. The food was solid, but the standout part of the visit was the service at the bar.Our bartender, Madison, was fantastic. She was quick, friendly, and kept our drinks filled even though the bar area was pretty busy. A pretty average restaurant overall. We went specifically to try alligator meat—the tail and the sausage were actually good and definitely worth trying. However, the hamburger was not great and had a slight unpleasant smell, which was disappointing. The service was good and the staff were friendly, though things were a bit slow. Overall, it’s okay for trying alligator meat, but there are many better dining options in town.

We had a wonderful experience tonight (07/06/2026) and a big part of that was our waitress, Mia E. She was such a sweetheart with an amazing personality and excellent customer service. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure our food and drinks were always taken care of. We really enjoyed talking with her, and she made our visit even better. First off the gater bites were all pea sized and had as much breading as meat, 2nd the cajin chicken Alfredo had no cajin at all, tasted more like a frozen chicken Alfredo tv dinner then anything. The gater smash burger was decent, had much better other places, had to remind our server each time we needed a refill although empty cups sitting right at the front edge if the table each time she came to check on us.
