Real Gator I'm not joking, watch out for the "chicken" ceasar salad.... its alligator meat. That's the best part of this place. You can get to it very easiler, whether you're in a car (just around the bend of the bridge) or by boat, just next to the bridge. The deck is nice to have a few beers on, but watch out for the spring break crowd, they tend to overtake/overturn everything.
Young and Fun! Gators is a hot spot to hang with the young crowd. You can get there by boat or car. Everyone hangs out on the HUGE deck. You can watch all the games (especially the Gator's games) on the numerous TV's. There is a huge bar inside and the food is really good. I love the cuban and the french dip sandwich. Fun place to go and a definate "party" during a Gator's Football game.
On my visits to Gators in the past few weeks (June-August 2014) I have tried a few dishes like the wings, fish n chips, nachos...all of which are as unpleasant as other reviewers have said...should have believed the other reviews and skipped this place...across the bridge is much better dining. What takes the cake is the last time my family and I were there, my brother and kids got food poisoning from some of their mystery meat and banned me from ever taking them back. Do yourself a favor and eat on the other side of the bri... read more
i was an employee there, so i know how it works around there. plus i live in johns pass. this place is an absolute joke, the employees are nasty an most of them are on drugs while cooking an serving your food. the managers are more or less guys walkin around in purple shirts, they dont do much... everything is over priced, most of the bands suck. skimped alcohol drinks as well as most expensive around the beach. i have also seen utensils an food get dropped an reused like its ok. disgusting place to work, an even worst place... read more
I thought this place was nice. It was on the water, dark and it has a great blackened prime rib sandwich.
gotta go to gators! – Awesome place! love the FOOD!!! and always love the sunday & sat. dj's and music!! good place to watch the game and have a great time!!!!!!
if you like bad food, go here – if you like Hormel chili and Government issued cheese, try their Nachos!!! I never thought you could mess up Nachos, but Gators has managed to do so. The WORST food I have EVER had. YUCK! You should really try their watered down drinks, too. NOT WORTH THEIR HIGH PRICES!!!
Don't bother!! – We went because my son is a huge gators fan. The atmosphere was good, great for my son and husband. We were told to seat ourselves, we waited for 10 minutes at one table then moved to another thinking the waitress couldn't see us then waited for about 5 more until one waitress stopped by to tell us our waitress would be back in a minute. Finally we got service when our food came there wasn't any silverware ok for the sandwich my son had, but the rest of us ordered "real" food. When I asked for silverware the... read more
Gators is one of the worst ran businesses. The turn over rate is horrible, they fire people for NO reason, retain terrible employees while letting go those who work hard. I have seen the way the kitchen operates. Expired food, dirty utensils, food that sits out in the sun. When it is busy I have witness food being dropped on floor to be reused, bar glass being reused without washing and bar dishwashers ran without soap. A sink at the main bar that actually has no drain pipe so water drains on ground. The Rice family clearly ... read more
